When analyzing the vast amount of Pokémon in existence, it isn't hard to find some that perfectly resemble Marvel's Superheroes.
With over 900 Pokémon in existence and more on the way in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, there are plenty of crossovers between the monster-catching franchise and the super-powered powerhouses of Marvel. With a cast of well-known characters like Wolverine and Spider-Man, Marvel provides the perfect opportunity to explore similar themes and characteristics of Pokémon.

While some have theorized which characters would make good Pokémon Trainers, comparing the characters themselves to Pokémon isn't often discussed. Using design elements, such as color, genetic makeup, power sets, and backstories, there are plenty of Pokémon that fit a nearly one-to-one comparison to Marvel's heroes.
Quaxly is the latest water starter, introduced in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. It's a white duck Pokémon with a perfectly coifed style atop its head. Even though little is known about the new starter, it's described as a powerful kicker and that it loves to be clean.
Howard the Duck, as his name suggests, is also a white duck who looked similar to Donald Duck when first introduced. While his appearance has changed over the years, he's maintained a specific, tidy look. He sports his tiny suit and has a reputation for being fierce when situations call for such an approach.
Sceptile is the final evolution of the grass starter from the Hoenn region, Treeko. This green-colored lizard has a reputation for its strength in combat and its hefty use of leaf blades during battle.
Gamora is the adopted daughter of Thanos and a feared warrior in her own right. Not only do the two beings share the color and boast a similar fighting style, but they also share a display an attitude of greatness about them. Additionally, Shiny Sceptile reflects Nebula, Gamora’s sister and a fellow fighter.
Based on a mix between a clown and a mime, Mr. Mime is one of the most unsettling Pokémon in the Pokédex. This unsettling nature has been highlighted in many of its appearances, including the interrogation scene from Detective Pikachu and its quest in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Besides its appearance, Mr. Mime will slap anyone who interrupts its tricks.

Similarly based on a clown, Slapstick is a human with the powers of a cartoon character such as elasticity, infinite pocket space, durability, and ignorance of the 4th wall. A member of several major teams, like the New Warriors, Slapstick shares many of the same features as Mr. Mime, including a white and pink color scheme, white gloves, and a clown aesthetic.
Decidueye is the final evolution of Rowlet, the grass-type starter in Alola. It has two forms, an original and a Hisuian form. The original form resembles an archer, while the Hisuian form resembles a Ronin. With each of these forms comes a different fighting style and move set.
Both Clint Barton and Kate Bishop have spent time as both an archer and a Ronin, however, they did so for different reasons and different lengths of time. Decidueye and the Hawkeyes easily go hand in hand thanks to their similar personalities, combat styles, and costume preferences.
Doctor Stephen Strange is the Sorcerer Supreme of Earth, a title which brings with it plenty of bragging rights. Strange is no stranger to acting like the smartest person in the room, and sometimes, like in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, he is.
Alakazam is one of the smartest Pokémon to exist, with an IQ of 5000 and the ability to learn and retain knowledge until it dies. Alakazam and Doctor Strange's powers differentiate, as one is mostly a psychic attacker, but they both have a third eye ability and a form of precognition.
As one of the Ultra Beasts, UB-03 Lighting aka Xurkitree is a misunderstood alien from another world and dimension that uses the style of a Christmas tree to shape its body. Made up of electrical wires and plugs, it can interface with technology and absorb electrical currents.
Likewise, Warlock is a misunderstood techno-organic alien being whose appearance features a similar aesthetic comprising electrical wires and technology. Warlock gets through day-to-day life by often interfacing with the technology around him and teaming up with his partner, Douglas Ramsay.
Rocket Raccoon is a cybernetically enhanced raccoon who was genetically modified before he escaped his creators and became a mercenary and scavenger. He wields an impressive array of weapons, is a demolition and tactical expert, and travels the world with his best buddy, Groot.
Similarly, Zigzagoon's design is based on a raccoon, specifically a raccoon dog, and can learn a wide variety of moves in its home region of Hoenn. Like Rocket, Zigzagoon are notable scavengers, able to find items and expertly put them to great use.
Chansey is known as the Egg Pokémon, thanks to the fact it always carries around a healing egg in its front pouch. They also have a reputation in the Pokémon world for providing aid to Pokémon and humans alongside Nurse Joy in the Pokémon Center.

Emma Frost is an ice-cold antihero and mutant who has spent time on both sides of the good and evil spectrum. Known as the White Queen, she's a powerful telepath, verging on the Omega level, and has an organic diamond form that has an uncanny resemblance to ice.
Frosmoth was introduced in Pokémon Sword and Shield as an Ice- and Bug-type. Frosmoth shows no mercy to those that threaten it, inducing blizzards as a defense. Emma Frost and Frosmoth share plenty of attributes, including their icy demeanor and inherent beauty.
Porygon-Z is the corrupted evolution of the Porygon line, a line of manmade, formerly virtual, Pokémon. While Porygon2 was upgraded to include a complex AI, Porygon-Z's upgrades were designed to let it to hop dimensions, but that never came to fruition.
Viv Vision is the only surviving member of the family created by Vision. As a 16-year-old with a complex AI, Viv has the same powers as her father, and she often detaches from her emotional core to avoid feeling pain from the trauma she's endured. Both powerful androids, Viv Vision and Porygon-Z are complex characters with complicated histories.
