Here’s how you can get your hands on Menendez, Al-Asad, and other villain Operators in Vanguard and Warzone Pacific Season 5.
Vanguard and Warzone Pacific Season 5 has brought back some of the greatest villains in the Call of Duty franchise, and here’s how you can get your hands on them including the Al-Asad Operator.
Season 4 Reloaded brought a Terminator crossover and plenty more fun content to Vanguard and Warzone, and the community is now looking ahead to all the new additions that will arrive in Season 5.
The Last Stand update brought classic Call of Duty villains as new Operator skins for players to get their hands on, and we’ll go over everything you need to know about how to unlock them.
Task Force Tyrants features four notable villains that Call of Duty fans will immediately recognize from older titles, including Raul Menendez, Khaled Al-Asad, Gabriel T. Rorke, and He “Seraph” Zhen-Zhen.
All four Operators come with a 20-level Operator XP progression path featuring three Operator quips, Mastery Reward Operator Skins, XP bonuses, and weapon blueprints. Equipping their favorite guns and completing their individual challenges will allow you to rank up much faster.
You can unlock the Legendary “Ivory Mystique” Operator skin for Raul Menendez at Tier 0 of the Last Stand Battle Pass, and reaching Tier 100 will grant you access to his Ultra “Populist Revolutionary” Operator skin.
This villain first appeared in Black Ops II in which he turned automated drones against major cities across the United States and China. His favorite gun is the EX1 which you can unlock at Tier 15 of the Battle Pass.
The Khaled Al-Asad Operator skin is now available in the store for 2,400 CoD points.
However, players on all platforms that digitally pre-ordered any version of Modern Warfare 2 including the Cross-Gen (console), Standard (PC), or Vault Edition (console or PC) will get the Khaled Al-Asad Operator bundle completely free.

You can get your hands on the Gabriel T. Rorke Operator skin by purchasing his bundle when it arrives later in Warzone Pacific and Vanguard Season 5. His favorite weapon is the Lienna 57 which will also be added later in the season.
This character was the main antagonist in Call of Duty: Ghosts, and he helped the Federation occupy the United States after betraying the team he once led. Now, he’s back to cause more trouble in Warzone and Vanguard.
You can unlock He “Seraph” Zhen-Zhen by purchasing her Bundle after it arrives later in Season 5. Her favorite weapon is the BP50 which will also be added later in the Last Stand update.
This villain was originally available as a playable specialist in Black Ops III and her goal is to promote the 54 Immortals’ faction objectives. She’s so dedicated to the cause that she amputated one of her hands during her promotion as an Enforcer.
That covers all the villain Operator skins that are included in Task Force Tyrants. Be sure to grab them all after Warzone Pacific and Vanguard Season 5 arrives on August 24, 2022.

Here are the best settings you can run in CoD Vanguard for PC, allowing you to get the best visuals and FPS no matter your hardware.
If you play Call of Duty: Vanguard on PC, you’ll want to optimize your game to make sure you’re getting the highest FPS (frames-per-second) possible. Here’s everything you need to create the best Vanguard PC settings.
PC has become a staple platform for Call of Duty, with Vanguard the latest game in the franchise to be available on Battle.net. Playing on PC provides players with more options to tweak how the game looks, and improve performance too.
Of course, with so many different settings to choose from, finding the perfect balance between performance and visual effects can be tricky. Luckily, we’ve got everything you need to maximize the game on your PC.
Here are the best Vanguard PC settings to run in Season 5.
Here are the minimum and recommended system requirements you’ll need to run Call of Duty Vanguard. For the minimum requirements, you only need a slightly more powerful rig than if you were to play Warzone.
You’ll need a fairly beefy PC to meet the recommended requirements, with you needing a GTX 1070 8GB to get a solid balance of frame rate and visuals.
Before diving into Vanguard on PC, we recommend you check that your graphics drivers are up to date to make sure your rig is reaching its optimal performance.
Here’s how to update your graphics drivers.
If you have an NVIDIA graphics card, the GeForce experience app will handle this for you.
If you have an AMD GPU, you can use the Radeon Settings to update your drivers.
NVIDIA DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) allows players with NVIDIA RTX graphics cards to get much more frames at higher resolutions. DLSS sets your game to a lower resolution, increasing performance, but giving the appearance of a high resolution.
Turning on DLSS in Vanguard is simple, as it’s included in the Post Processing Effects tab in the Quality Settings. From here, you can set DLSS to Ultra Performance, Performance, Balanced, or Quality.
Ultra Performance will give you the most frames but won’t be as visually appealing, and Quality will retain the impressive picture.
If you are somewhere between the minimum and recommended settings for Call of Duty Vanguard, you want to be prioritizing reaching at least a steady 60 FPS.
Vanguard still looks great on low settings, and you’ll have a much smoother and more enjoyable time when hitting a decent frame rate.
Here are the settings we recommend using if you’re on lower-end hardware.
You want to make sure that your Framerate limit matches your monitor’s refresh rate. If you’re reaching frames well above what your monitor can display, you may see screen tearing.
If you have your VRAM Usage Target too high, you could see stuttering and hitching. If this is happening to you, keep lowering the target until you’re seeing smooth gameplay.
Normally, we’d recommend having Anti-Aliasing set to either off or the lowest setting, but Vanguard forces you to use either SMAA T2X or Filmic SMAA T2X. Filmic can make your game look blurry, so we recommend using the regular T2X.
And for Filmic Strength, you should always have this set to 0. It adds unnecessary visual noise to your game, making it look worse for no reason.
If you’re on lower-end hardware, you should have your FOV set somewhere between 95 and 105. You’ll still take advantage of seeing more of the world in front of you but won’t suffer from the performance hit.
And for the other options such as Motion Blur and Depth of Field, you always want to have them set to off.
There’s no point in forking out hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars on the best hardware if you’re not going to take advantage of it. NVIDIA 20 and 30 Series GPUs will be able to easily display high-quality graphics and reach high frame rates.
Here are the settings we recommend you use if you’re on high-end hardware.
You want to make sure that your Framerate limit matches your monitor’s refresh rate. If you’re reaching frames well above what your monitor can display, you may see screen tearing.
High-end hardware should manage a VRAM Usage Target of 90%, but make sure to lower it if you begin experiencing stuttering or hitching.
Although Filmic SMAA T2X is the higher option, it will make the game appear blurry, so it should be avoided. And again, Filmic Strength should always be set to 0.
If you’re on higher-end hardware, you can likely crank your FOV all the way up to 120 without suffering from a significant performance hit. But, some players dislike how it distorts and shrinks the screen, so you may want it slightly lower.
And for the other options such as Motion Blur and Depth of Field, you always want to have them set to off.

Warzone Pacific is coming to an end, and we asked players to pick out the best season of the CoD Vanguard era.
The lifecycles of CoD Warzone and Vanguard are coming to end, and players have been hotly debating which has been the best season on Caldera.
Warzone and Vanguard Season 5 is set to be the final season of both games, bringing this chapter of the Call of Duty series to a close. Season 5 Reloaded will mark the last major update before Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 launch to take us forward.
After five whole seasons since the switch to Caldera, Warzone players have been arguing over which season has been the most enjoyable since Verdansk was left behind.
On September 3, we asked the community which Warzone x Vanguard season was the best, and while there were plenty of opinions, Season 4 appeared to come out on top. This was largely due to the release of the Fortune’s Keep map, which has become incredibly popular since its launch.
“Mercenaries of Fortune. The Fortune’s Keep launch was amazing and Titanium Trials was loads of fun,” replied YouTuber Geeky Pastimes. “Fortunes Keep is definitely the best COD BR map we’ve seen yet,” agreed BlackOpsBootlegger.
There was also plenty of praise for the Marco 5 SMG, which made its debut in the Mercenaries of Fortune update. “Season 4. It gave us the best warzone map and the best feeling smg apart from the Blixen,” argued Kaden2173.

While Season 4 certainly seemed to dominate the replies, there was actually plenty of praise for Season 1, the update which saw Caldera introduced to the game for the first time. Despite the shaky launch, players felt that it was a welcome change of pace at the time.
“I have to say Season 1. Even though it ran terribly and definitely was rushed to release. It had a brand new map that made the game feel fresh,” said one reply. “I know there’s criticism about the map not being good, but I personally like it a lot. Maybe not as good as the first map, but still fun to play in.”
Honestly season 1 since snipers were fun. After thats season 3 was better cuz they did lighting better same with s4
Season 3 also received a few shoutouts, as many believed this was the season that Caldera struck the perfect balance of gameplay, and the map itself was in the best shape. This is despite the controversial King Kong x Godzilla crossover event, which received plenty of criticism at the time.
“Season 3 easily, Caldera’s lighting was perfect [and] we had the STG meta which I personally feel was the best meta of the vanguard era.”
1 or 3. 1 made the future look promising. 3 was actually a lot of fun and the one i have the most time spent playing. Operation Monarch was really fun.
Although there was a lot of love for certain Warzone x Vanguard seasons, the overwhelming theme in the replies was that players haven’t enjoyed their time on Caldera, and are looking forward to it being replaced in the sequel.
Hopefully, the release of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 can kick start another golden period for the CoD battle royale.
