Looking good while getting the job done in PowerWash Simulator is worth it. Here's everything players need to know about buying and equipping skins.

PowerWash Simulator is the kind of game that lets players devote themselves to replicating a mundane task: in this case, using a Power Washer to blast dirt and other filth off of surfaces, leaving them shiny and clean again. It's a simple but relaxing task, and there are plenty of gamers who understand just how satisfying it can be.

PowerWash Simulator even goes so far as to give players cosmetics so that they can customize how their character looks while they're giving the world a fresh scrub. Unfortunately, the game's menus aren't always the most intuitive, leaving some players confused and frustrated about how to buy and equip cosmetics. Here's everything a player needs to know in order to start washing in style.

Skins in PowerWash Simulator may not be able to compete with cool Fortnite cosmetics, but they're more than enough to get the job done in style. To get started buying skins, go to the top-right corner of the main menu (above Specials and Free Play) and click on the golden shopping bag button. If the player is already in a level, they can get to this menu by hitting Escape to bring up the tablet, then going to the top-left corner to open a drop-down, and from there scrolling down to Menu.

From here the player can choose which kind of item they want to purchase from the store: Power Washers, Cleaning Liquids, Modifications, Equipment, or Clothing. Clicking Clothing will open a new screen where the player can purchase glove skins. Clicking on the arrow button in the top-right corner will take the player to Modifications, allowing the player to purchase skins for their washer. Click on the desired skin to purchase it. Power Wash Simulator is already a relaxing game to play, and looking the way one wants makes it all the better.

It's worth noting that the store in PowerWash Simulator functions just like any other store: the player will need money to purchase the goods within. Thankfully, these cosmetics can be bought with in-game cash, so there are no expensive microtransactions to worry about. All the player has to do is finish a few jobs to make the money they need.

Once the player has purchased the skins they want, they'll need to exit the menu and return to the game, as if they were about to start washing. Hit E to bring up a display showing the character's current loadout. To change the Power Washer's skin, click on the tab in the bottom-right corner of the Power Washer box to open a new display. It's not the most elegant HUD design, but it works. From here the player can view and select from their available skins.

To change clothing, return to the same Current Loadout display as before and click on the Clothing tab on the top right of the display. The player will now be able to view and select from their available clothing skins. The skins are organized by type, so if the player wishes to change their gloves, they need to click on the Gloves section to view a complete selection of all glove skins they have purchased.

Cosmetic changes will be applied as soon as the player clicks on the desired skin. PowerWash Simulator automatically saves the player's selection of cosmetics, so once the player has chosen their desired look, it will always be loaded up and ready as soon as the player starts the game. Now the player can get back to some relaxing Power Washing.

PowerWash Simulator is now available for PC.
